Fun with Google Earth

I like playing around with Google Earth. Ever since a 3rd grade “mapping skills,” class at the American School of Paris more than 25 years ago, I have been completely hooked on maps and globes. As a Third Culture Kid, maps held  answers to questions about the country I was going to move to next.

The screenshot below is a Google Earth view of the San Salvador Volcano (also known as Quetzaltepec) that defines the skyline of San Salvador.

It would be interesting to see how the Google Earth created view will change overtime as the technology behind and data available to Google Earth matures.
